Dangers and Threats of Industrial Food Additives

Food additives are the substance that has been used in food since a long time ago.

They are being used to accelerate the taste of the food, or to preserve it so it can stay edible for quite a time.

There are natural food additives and then there are man-made food additives.

Natural food additives include, sugar, salt or vinegar. These are the kind of food additives that is quite safe to be consumed by people since they are made naturally. Natural food additives has been found and used since centuries ago. To make pickles, kimchi (korean) and many other foods.

Other than that, there are also man-made food additives / industrial. These man-made food additives are used for flavoring and also there are kinds that are used for food coloring.

Believe it or not, every person who consumes industrial manufactured food must have tasted a man-made food additive once or twice.

Even though most of it is tested to be safe for consuming, some of these industrial food additives have shown that in some cases of studies it has been proved that excessive or long term consuming might causes / trigger cancer, hyperactivity in children, migraine and other health risk for the consumer.

In some countries the use of man-made food additives has been written on the packages, some even named or numbered it.

It is up to the consumer to decide or check whether it is safe to be consumed or not.
