Last night I've had a dinner with a friend in this vegetarian restaurant at Jalan Perak. (I've no idea what the restaurant's name is.. but I'll certainly posted it up next time).
I was too busy finding parking lot!
They serve really delicious Tom-Yum Steamboat! And adding to it, It's Vegetarian! It was my friend's idea. They also serve Kimchi and Original Steamboat! I'd have to try those on another visit! :P
My friend's name is Wenxi. I don't know if that's his real name? But it doesn't really matter cause it sounds so cool duh! Besides, everyone call him by that name. Hm, I never really get to know him until last night after we talked about a lot of things.
Wait! Well, don't take me as this crazy girl who can just have a dinner with some strangers!
For the record, He's not a stranger. I have met him before at a Christmas dinner with a chain of friends last year. We just never actually really met each other again until last night.
We've been friends through Facebook ever since that dinner (as I have been friends with some other people I've met that night).
How did me and Wenxi get in contact?
That's began when I dropped a few comments on some of his notes in Facebook. After that Wenxi starts to tagged me in his new notes. And thus I've been his faithful notes reader ever since.
He's got this very unique style of writing. Usually his notes are mostly wrote in a kind of life criticizing way. But recently, he's started to shift into a new area.
Just last month he started this series called 'SID - The Heartbreaker' (Click on link to read! It's in Indonesian). It's a pretty good read.
So, just this Monday we were chatting for a while through Blackberry Messenger and I took his offer for a dinner on Tuesday night since he said he know this restaurant that serve a 'tongue teasing' dish (delicious) and he'd be willing to answer all of my questions! HA HA!
To sum it up, we've done a little meeting last night talking about a topic that we both find enjoyable. He shared his inspiration in writing. It was really a great experience. I learned a lot from him (in the aspects of life and of course writing?) He's a very good senior. Considering he's 27. Wot! It's pretty difficult to find someone who's in the same box and can give a good input.
I'm a lousy writer anyway so might as well learn from a someone with more experience right >_<'
Thanks Wenxi for the advice and life lesson!
That's all for now :)
My first, real life post.
xoxo,
M.
