It was Idul Fitri Day!

Guess what?!

Yesterday was finally the Idul Fitri day!
It's already the second day of my holiday. Yuhu!! It has started from 8th and will end on 14th.! Still many free days to come for me. hehe.

Anyway, Idul Fitri is the day where Muslims celebrate their winning after they have done fasting for 1 month (Ramadan). Most of the time, they will return to their hometown or village to visit their family and forgive each other for the wrong they've done to each other all year. Idul Fitri usually identical with eating Ketupat.

So, Medan City which is like most part of Indonesia have a majority of muslim people. So, since most of the population are all gone and have a Mudik (leaving to visit family back at kampoeng or hometown). The road seems very blank! Like.. wow.. not much traffic. But, the Plaza were all still crowded.

Most eating place and shops were close. But there were some restaurants and cafe still open. Maybe the owners are smart enough, think ahead of the game, and lucky them, they were packed!

I was waking up so late, around 12 or 1 PM. hehe! ^^ Since it's holiday! I'd rather enjoy my time right :) I then took a bath and chat for a while with my family. After that then I went out with my good friends, Dewi and Rosy *smile2

The first plaza we went to was Sun Plaza. Yep! It's the Plaza where every Medanese go to, because simply it's the only Plaza in Medan with a 21 Cinema, Sogo, International Culinary and Patisseries outlets and a huge Food Court (it's my personal theory though).

Rosy, God blessed her has already asked her younger sister to bought movie tickets for us. Dewi whose crazy about Shihlin (Taiwan Street Snacks) insisted on a "take away" and we secretly hide it inside Rosy's Bag.

Well, we went to watch Sammy's Adventure - The Secret Passage in 3D. It was awesome, about a sea turtle that travel the sea. Dewi was so crazy about the turtle. Then I tease her about Turtle Soup (Pik Bak in Hokkien). hahaha -,- Aigooo! so cute and entertaining lah the movie.

After finishing the movie, I think around 6 or something we went and queue for some Sour Sally's Yogurt. Me and Dewi try this new flavor "Strawberry and Melon" olala.. it was good.

Then from there we drove to Swiss-Belhotel. It was just around two blocks or something from Sun Plaza. Well, at first we were thinking about trying out the new restaurant on 27th floor / the rooftop of the hotel (The Edge), but too bad the outdoor was already reserved by some people for a family gathering or whatever. So, we ended up 1 floor lower to The View (26th floor). Well, it suits the name. The view was very nice. Maybe cause there aren't a lot of skyscrapers yet in Medan City.

We ordered a Pitcher of Heineken and a Pan of thin Meat Pizza. Considering the interior and the atmosphere, I can say that the food wasn't very expensive.

Along the while, we spent the evening talking and chatting about some matters.

Dewi was very cute like her usual self, she likes to share a lot of things and ask for advices. She is a very dear friend for me. I can share with her a lot too and ask for advice. If not then I just blabber whatever and she would just ignore me or laugh cause for my chattiness.

Rosy on the other hand is very cool. She doesn't talk much but a good match for Dewi cause she can give good advices.

We left The View around 10 PM and headed home.
The Pizza was delicious, the beer was okay. I don't normally consume alcohol but it's good once in a while.

This is the best Ramadan after a long time...
Good Friends, Good View, Good Day :)

I am leaving the blog for now, maybe will post one of my favorite song later ;)

Wish everyone no matter from what ethnicity or race are having a great Idul Fitri Holiday :)

-End-

xoxo,
M.
